Welcome Pastor Dennis Himm and Wife Kay

St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church welcomes recently retired Pastor Dennis Himm to serve their congregation.  Pastor Himm retired from the full-time ministry after four decades - serving the first 5 years at Resurrection Lutheran Church in Centerville, OH, and the last 35 years at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Grand Blanc, MI.

 Pastor Himm is familiar with our Port City, having married his high school sweetheart, Kay Rhodea, a native of Manistee. Kay's father owned and operated the Rex Grill in the 50's,60's, and 70's.

 Kay & Dennis were married at St. Paul’s in 1979.  They both attended Michigan Lutheran Seminary, in Saginaw, MI for high school.  Dennis graduated from Northwestern College in Watertown, WI, with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in 1979, and then Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary with a Master of Theology in 1983.
